Annotation:This brief summarizes a 2006 study by the American Council on Education examining the growing gender gap in higher education. Among the findings, the gender gap between Hispanic and White men and women is occuring most among students from low-income families, and among adult students the gender gap is even more pronounced than among traditional aged students.
